Does Amazon Deliver to France?

If you’re living in France, or spending a lot of time there, you may be wondering whether you’ll be able to get those all-important Amazon orders delivered. And, the answer is yes.

Amazon has a website in France, Amazon.fr, which serves the whole of France. This should be your first point of call when considering shopping at Amazon from France, especially if you have Amazon Prime.

However, Amazon France isn’t as big as Amazon stores in other countries. It may be worth looking at Amazon Germany, for example, to see if the product you want is cheaper there. Often the delivery costs will be slightly higher, and may take a day or two longer, but it’s worth looking for more expensive purchases. As well as Amazon France, there’s also Amazon Spain and Amazon Italy to consider, but they’re usually smaller.

What about Amazon UK and Amazon US?

Generally speaking, these aren’t recommended as they’re outside of the EU. If you order from these stores, you may have to pay customs charges in on top of the cost of your order. So if you can find what you’re looking for at Amazon France or another store within the EU, this is the better option.

Of course, sometimes you can’t find what you’re looking for. Secondhand books in English, for example, are sometimes hard to find in France, and you may find that it’s worth ordering from Amazon UK or Amazon US in that instance.
